ABOUT: (english below)
ENGLISH :
In order to avoid any trouble or ambiguity in relation to the lyrics, we believe this song deserves a little description for it to be understood with its true intention.
This song is about the way Women are wrongly depicted in a capitalist society, and particularly in the North-American society. The mainstream cultural industry, through its multitude of mediums such as advertisement or porn, imposes a fantasied and deformed representation of women in an insidious manner. Unrealistic standards of beauty and bodies, hyper sexualization, pressure to belong to a so-called “norm”… These processes are at the origin of many sufferings for those who try, to some extent, to stick to these ideals created by a dominant culture.
American Girld’s lyrics show a reflection on our desires and our intimacy. In our relationship to our sexuality, the lines between genuine desires and ideas implanted by a heterosexual education feel blurred. So, we all play the game the way it was taught. And, just like the lyrics of the song, the rules of this game are coarse. If they appear shocking, it’s perhaps because we can finally embrace the difficult deconstruction of our conditioning.
Quite a feat for a 4’20 min long pop-song, right? If you want to ask us more about it, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at the end of our gigs.

lyrics
American girls
With American faces
It gets on my nerves
Cause I got no chances
American boobies
Over the top booties
No I can’t get enough
No I can’t get it – Alright!
American girls
With American faces
It gets on my nerves
Cause I got no chances
The blown out boobies
The bouncing booties
Walking on sidewalks
As if it was a catwalk
(I) Don’t dare to look up
Since I’ve been struck
Cheeky cheeks
Manky make up tips
No I’m not good enough
No I’m not good – Oh no!
You look good she said
You talk well she said
Come on and dance
I don’t care for my friends
Make me scream she said
Get me drunk she yelled
Take me home
And I’ll give you head
I can’t blame you
For your blowjob knowledge
Cause there was a time
When I didn’t care
Make me scream she said
Make me cum she begged
The bargain of lust
Should we never trust
The bargain of lust
Should we never trust
The bargain of lust
Should we never trust
Should we never trust
Should we never trust
Should we never trust
The bargain of lust
American girlies
Created fantasies
Bring out the cuffs
I’m calling the bluff
Does it have to be dirty
Does it have to be trashy
Do I have to act manly
For you to feel horny
When I look up
Or turn it on
Or flip the pages
Or walk downtown
When I look up
Or turn it on
Or flip the pages
Or walk downtown – Oh no!
I’m so lost
Right now
I’m so lost
Right now
I’m so lost right now
I’m so lost right now
American girls
With American faces
It gets on my nerves
Cause I got no chances
It gets on my nerves
Cause I got no chances

What if Shoefiti was France's indie scene’s best kept secret?
Never quite garage, not completely
psychedelic or shoegaze, borrowing from noise without being totally so, Shoefiti is resolutely an indie rock band, sometimes pop and under control, sometimes abrasive and unbridled like a San Francisco ice cream truck whose brakes would have broken....more
Great grunge garage band of friends. They helped us greatly working on our music videos. Henri produced their EPs and had a blast. You should too by listening to it! Shoefiti
Awesome psychedelic stoner band from Paris. Between BRMC & QOTSA. Henri produced their EP & their drummer also played drums for Shoefiti in 2015-2016. Great guys & powerful music. Does not disapoint! Shoefiti
